Bye, Bye summer!!!

Well, it has been a wonderful summer, the most important thing that happen to me, was to spend a beautiful vacation time with my family in Ecuador, unforgettable…

Here in Connecticut, up in the US north west, summer is a big deal. Because our winter is so long, we like to enjoy every single summer day, like it was the last one. 

Hope you like this very colorful  outfit in this my last summer blog. As you can see, I am wearing two different kind of shoes, flats  and my 6 inch heels. the dress is from www.joyceleslie.com, and the shoes from www.bakers.com. My bag is from some store in Soho, New York.

Llego el final official del verano. He pasado unas vacaciones inolvidables junto a toda mi familia en Ecuador. Aqui arriba en el noreste , Connecticut, el verano es corto, comparado claro con las largas temporadas de frio. Es por eso que cada dia de calorcito lo vivimos como si fuera el ultimo.  Espero les guste mi ultimo outfit de verano, lleno de colores super alegres. Como accesorios para este vestido bien ligero, escogi zapatos planos y tambien unos tacones super altos. El vestido es de www.joyceleslie,com , y los zapatos son de www.bakers.com. Mi cartera la compre en alguna tienda en Soho New York.

Vintage or just old?

Vintage, a word to describe something being old, old-fashioned, classical, or from another time. This purse, is my Mom’s. She told me, she got this purse before I was born, O.K, that means, more than 45 years old!!!, I love it. Just go and look into your mom or grandma’s closet. You will find a treasure for sure!!! 

 

 

 

 

Vintage, una palabra super de moda, describe cualquier articulo, de ciertad edad o tiempo, que presentan calidad o marca, pero que no son considerados, “antiguedades”.

 

Encontre esta cartera en mi ultima visita a casa de mama, me dijo que la tenia desde antes que yo naciera. O.k, eso significa mas de 45 anos, lo cual la hace muy especial, aaah?. De vez en cuando busquen en esos closets de las mamas, abuelas o tias, de seguro se van a encontrar con alguna Buena sorpresa.

Dressing light for a hot day!

 I think, today is one of the last very hot day of this summer, well, good excuse to use shorts. I  made this black top maybe 13 years ago, and among others, is the one that I love the most. A black, simple and plain black top, is an essential piece in our wardrobe, at list for summer time. Have a happy Friday!!!!

 Esta haciendo un dia super caliente y humedo, por eso estoy usando estos shores y top, muy ligeros y comodos. En mi closet tengo prendas, todavia con etiqueta, pero tengo tambien muchas otras prendas de ropa muy viejitas, las cuales conservo con mucho carino, como este top, debe tener conmigo unos 13 anos, es muy simple pero lo adoro. Pienso que un top sencillo y negro es una prenda basica en nuestro closet, por lo menos para el verano.  Besitos y HAPPY FRIDAY!

Hello there!!! remember me? yes, Diana, mom of two, 45 years old, fashion designer, crazy for shoes… well, I haven’t done any blog in the whole summer, it  is never late, I love my blog and I just want to share with you my daily outfits. Here with one of my favorite dress this summer, simple and so comfortable  . You have seem this trend  everywhere, stripes and more stripes, I just love them, and  they match every color. I used yellow neon to accessorized it. Love this day!!!

No he hecho ni un solo blog en todo el verano, este es el primero, nunca es demasiado tarde, verdad? Me gusta mucho mi blog y lo preparo con mucho carino, ensenandoles mi forma de ver la moda.  Este es uno de mis vestidos favoritos de este verano, sencillo y muy comodo. Adoro las rayas blancas y negras, estan por todas partes y continuaran paraeste verano, pero de todas formas a mi siempre me gustaron. Los accesorios los escogi en Amarillo neon, pero las rayas van con cualquier color que escojas. Buen dia!

I just love leggings. I belong to the 80′ s, since then I have adopted them as part of my style , and I can not change that. Leggings have been part of fashion since the 50’s, came back in the 80’s, and more than ever, now in 2013. Plain or full of prints, they are very versatile. In winter we use them at ankle-length, wonderful with lose sweaters and boots. In summer the Capri length is the one we use. One golden rule about leggings is that whatever you use as a top, it must past your derriere, rule that I break depending of the legging and the outfit. Well, even though I am leggings number one fan, I don’t think, this super nice piece of clothing is elegant, but you can make it look beautiful. Leggings are casual.  My black blazer is made by a tailor in ECUADOR. My huge heels are from: www.amyclubwear.com. LEGGINS: www.joiceleslie.com . I made my necklace because I wanted a  match with my ring, which I bought a long time ago in some store in NEW YORK.  LOVE YOU LADIES!!!

I like them so much, remember? they were a hit for the past years. However, no everybody dare to use a one-piece clothe, I have noticed some resistance there. But if you execute it properly, you will achieve wonderful results. For fall and winter, just add, booties and a blazer or small jacket, now in summer, leave it strapless, any sandal, flat or heels, nice bag or clutch, and voila, ready for a stylish  day! Me encanta el estilo de los jumpsuits,( enterizos, palazzos).Sin embargo, no a todas las mujeres les llama la atencion vestir este estilo de ropa. Si lo escoges bien, le colocas los accesorios correctos, el resultado sera un exito. En epoca fria, no los dejes a un lado, simplemente le anades una chaqueta corta o un blazer,(es dificil, encontrarlos con mangas), unos botines, y estas lista para un look con mucho estilo. QUE TENGO HOY PUESTO?  mis sandalias de  www.bakers.com,  mis enterizo de www.joyceleslie.com, y mi cinturon-corset lo adquiri hace un tiempo atras en www.ebay.com,    Mil besitos!

After holidays!

Most of us had a fun holiday weekend, full of activities and plenty of food and drinks. Well, now is time  to take care of our body. This delicious shake is made with fresh pineapple, excellent source of fiber, minerals and vitamin C. Cucumber, wonderful for stomachs disorders, and remember,  cucumber contains 96% of water!

ingredients:

  1. Pineapple
  2. cucumber
  3. honey or agave
  4. I always add some flaxseed
  5. and ice

Put everything together into the blender and have a healthy day!

TIP:  Don’t drink more than a 8 onces, this juices are very healthy, but very strong!
