I’m an eternal lshoe lover and almost all styles call my attention, particularly I really like the effect that fringes give to any accessory. The fringes are always related to the hippies. Fringes were a signature fashion icon in 60s and 70s. Fringes come and go on the runways, are they in your closet? Use them with your skinnies, leggings, jeans and why not a mini dress.

Soy una eterna enamorada de los zapatos y casi todos los estilos me llaman la atencion, particularmente me encanta la caida y el movimiento que le dan los flecos a cualquier accesorio. Los flecos son siempre relacionado a la moda hippie, y es que fue en la epoca de los años 60 y 70 donde estos fueron adoptados como caracteristica de esas decada. Los flecos igual vienen y van en las pasarelas, estan en tu closet? usalos con tus skinnies , leggings, jeans y porque no un vestido mini.

Comfortable and very high, I adore platforms. People always ask me how I can walk on them, I could run ! Some might believe that platforms are contemporary, but they are really very old, from ancient Rome and Greece, they were used in theater, and right through the centuries, in the 16 th and 18th centuries. They appear more refined through the years 30, 40 and 50, but in the decade of the 70s is when they gain the most strength, (I love fashio history, I taught this subject at various fashion institutes in Ecuador) I dare to say that the year that platforms rose to their highest expression was in 2011, remember the designs of Alexander Mcquenn ? This year 2013, platforms are in fashion but with lower height. I am loyal to them, whether or not in trend.

Comodas y muy altas, adoro las plataformas, siempre me preguntan como camino con ellas, podria correr!. Algunos podrian creer que las plataformas son contemporaneas, pero son realmente muy antiguas, desde la antigua Grecia y Roma fueron usadas en representaciones de teatro, y a traves de los siglos, en el 16 y en el 18, y luego mas refinadas aparecen por los años 30, 40 y 50, pero es en la decada de los 70 que adquiere su mayor fuerza, (me encanta la historia de la moda, fui profesora de esta materia en varios institutos de moda en Ecuador), me atrevo  a decir que el año en que las plataformas subieron a su mas alta expresion fue en el 2011, se acuerdan de los diseños de Alexander Mcquenn? Este año 2013, se conservan las plataformas pero baja la altura, pero yo soy fiel a ellas, esten o no en tendencia.

A touch of red with these merry looking and bright gloves, I love them. Gloves are a perennial  accessory, and very elegant, I have them in almost every color, AND NEVER USE! THEM !  Hope you like my new DKNY bag, it is a tote, but large enough to carry everything you desire, plus the scarf accessory in it allows me to change it and play with the colors.

Un toque rojo con estos guantes alegres y brillantes, me encantan, son un accesorio milenario, y muy elegante, los tengo en casi todos los colores, Y NUNCA LOS USO !. Espero les guste mi nueva bolsa de DKNY, es un TOTE, bastante grande pero llevo absolutamente todo lo que  deseo, ademas el accesorio del panuelo me permite cambiarlo y jugar con los colores que desee. En este momento de la moda, en carteras, se esta llevando practicamente de todo y para cada gusto, para mi comodidad las prefiero grandes, sin embargo y aunque no hechas para mamas, las carteras pequeñas y que se llevan de lado, asi como los sobres, son sencillamente preciosas !

It is very cold this morning, but the sun is out, radiant and beautiful. To start my day full of activities, I chose to wear these super comfortable white boots, and leggings with black and white prints. Have a beautiful day !

Today I’m going to New York by myself, my princesses are in school and I made playdates with their friends. My hubby is going to pick them up. Although I think it’s cold, in winter when the temperature is over 40 degrees Farenheit, it is a gift,; even more so if it is sunny and this is definitly the case taday, it is a beautiful day.  I will go to New York today because I will attend an event that I love, THE ACCESORIES SHOW, MODA MANHATTAN AND FAME, at the Javits Center, in Manhattan,. It is a huge event with hundreds of fashion exhibitors,. Only boutique or large clothing chains owners attend as they are whole buyers. I go because the fair showcases what boutiques will have in their windows depending on the season. It is an excellent opportunity to keep myself and you informed on trends and final products that will be offered in boutiques around the United States. I have to walk a lot, the show is really large, so to be comfortable,  I chose these platforms, high but very comfortable. I am wearing them with stretch black leather pants. and a pink sweater. I will spend a beautiful day in this spectacular city, have a nice day !

Hoy voy a New York  solita, mis princesas estan en el colegio les hice citas con sus amiguitas y mi esposito las va a recoger, a pesar de que el tiempo esta frio considero que en invierno cuando la temperatura marca mas de 40 grados Farenheit, es un regalo,  y todavia mas si esta soleado y asi esta este hermoso dia. El porque voy a New York hoy es para asistir a un evento que me encanta ACCESORIES THE SHOW, MODA MANHATTAN AND FAME, en el Javits Center de Manhattan, es un evento gigante donde estan cientos de expositores de moda, alli asisten solo dueños de boutiques o cadenas grandes de ropa, es decir se vende al por mayor, y se exhibe lo que realmente las boutiques van a enseñar en sus vidrieras,  dependiendo de la temporada, es una ocasion excelente para mantenerme informada de las tendencias y  del producto final que sera ofrecido en las boutiques alrededor de los Estados Unidos. Tenia que caminar muchisimo, estas ferias son realmente grandes, asi que para estar comoda escogi estas botas de plataforma muy alta pero muy comodas, y un pantalon strech de cuerina, voy a pasar un hermoso dia en esa ciudad espectacular, se les quiere.

My favorite color in all shades, this one is a violet blue, intense and full of character, also known as ROYAL BLUE. If you want to have fun with this color, you can neutralize it with white or black, or combine it with other blues; or you can contrast it with oranges red or what about green !!!

Mi color favorito en todas sus tonalidades, este o no en tendencia, este en particular es un azul violeta, muy intenso y con mucho caracter, llamado tambien BLUE ROYAL, si quieres divertirte con este color, lo puedes neutralizar con blanco o negro, o lo combinas con otros azules o lo contrastas con naranjas, rojos y que tal verdes !!!

More black than white, this dress is sleeveless so I added a black turtleneck, very thick tights and boots above the knee, perfect for a winter’s day. do you like it?

Right through the decades, the black leather pants or leatherette (cloth imitation leather), has become a classic, is not considered a basic element in your closet, but for me it is, here it combines with a black sweater from H & M and super high pink boots!

Atravez de las decadas, el pantalon de cuero negro o cuerina (tela imitacion cuero), se ha convertido en un clasico, no se considera un elemento basico en tu closet, pero para mi lo es, aqui lo combine con un sweter negro de H&M y con unas botas altas super rosadas!

It is absolutely beautiful the fabrics with such vibrant colors that exist in the market, give us the opportunity to combine and contrast, and as a result we get beautiful outfits, this amount of colors now  remind me the decade of the 80s, do you remember that time my girls ?

Es absolutamente hermoso las telas con colores tan vibrantes que existen en el mercado,  nos dan la oportunidad de combinar y contrastar, y como resultado tenemos bellisimos outfits, esta cantidad de colores de ahora me recuerdan la decada de los 80,  recuerdan mis chicas de los 80?
